SITE PLAN PROPOSAL FOR THE ARAPAHOE CAMPUS

NAROPA CAMPUS MASTER PLANNING STUDIES

This is one of the site plan proposals for the Arapahoe Campus. Coordinating with the University of Colorado’s plans for 22nd Street (on the right) and creating multiple access points are among the achievements. The new buildings (in orange) are located to create strong outdoor spaces together with the current buildings.

ALAN GINSBERG LIBRARY – BEFORE & AFTER

NAROPA CAMPUS MASTER PLANNING STUDIES

When 22nd Street is constructed (foreground), the Alan Ginsberg Library can be renovated to add accessible second story space. This should be done in such a way that it provides a strong building presence on 22nd and creates a pedestrian friendly environment.

SITE PLAN PROPOSAL FOR THE NALANDA CAMPUS

NAROPA CAMPUS MASTER PLANNING STUDIES

Creating a “paradise garden,” with buildings oriented towards this garden, is the main concept of this plan.  A single loaded linear building along 63rd Street that turns along Arapahoe can define such a garden. The parking should be clustered at the west side where it can be accessed easily from 62nd Street.

AERIAL VIEW OF NALANDA CAMPUS

NAROPA CAMPUS MASTER PLANNING STUDIES

The new linear building creates an inner garden that is well-protected from the traffic on Arapahoe. Among the facilities are a fish pond, a tea house and café, and a few symbolic structures.
