Project Description

The Tealight Series at Barefoot Village in Firestone, CO, designed by Pel-Ona Architects & Urbanists, comprises five thoughtfully crafted single family home plans. These plans are adapted from Brookfield Properties’ Tealight Portfolio; micro-homes which Pel-Ona originally created for the Midtown Neighborhood in Denver.

Ranging from approximately 1,690 to 2,140 square feet, these efficient 2-story residences offer 3-4 bedrooms and 3-4 bathrooms. The plans include options for basements and either attached or detached two-car garages, providing flexibility to meet a variety of homeowner needs.

Three of the plans incorporate attached garages, while two feature detached garages. Some homes with attached garages feature a bedroom or office suite connecting the main building to the garage. Through varied elevation treatments, the series achieves 6 distinct elevations, enhancing visual diversity along the block face. Two plans also offer an optional second-story balcony positioned above the front porch, adding architectural interest and usable outdoor space accessed from an owner’s suite.

The Tealight Series is inspired by Traditional Folk and Modern Folk design principles, characterized by simple, well-defined forms, clean building massing, steep gable roofs, forward-facing gables, and secondary shed elements such as porch roofs.
