Project Description

Pel-Ona Architects & Urbanists designed a new 2-story single family home on a 5-acre horse property in Elizabeth, Colorado. This 4,477 s.f. home features a large living room, large kitchen with concealed butler’s pantry, a front entry foyer connected to living spaces, main level primary bedroom suite, 2 separate offices, full basement living room and bedroom suites, a veranda with windbreaking half walls and double-sided fireplace, and a 3-car garage with a workshop outbuilding.

The design maximizes the stunning western views, utilizing mono-sloped roofs with clerestory windows in both the primary bedroom and living spaces. The veranda is strategically orienting to the west, creating a perfect vantage point. A through-house connection is created through open living spaces and an open stair to the basement living.
